Hurray! They've listened, and now we're (hopefully) not going to get a silly X-Factor number 1! Lets just hope that the singles don't sell too well in the stores!

Edit: So we're not going to get x-factor in the charts while the show goes on, but unfortunately will probably get a number 1 when the competition is over :(

Argh, so at the end of the competition they'll allow the winner's downloads to be counted? >:(

My mistake, sorry guys. I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel for a second :(

What? It just means that the ones they are putting up every weekend won't be counted. They won't be counted at Christmas either (Unless I misunderstood you)

But unfortunately the masses will still buy the Christmas one and it will probably be number 1.
 
I bought a copy of RATM last year, just because I thought it was a great concept. Still, I think my concept of the event was very different from other people's - I certainly don't intend to make another go of it this year. We made a point, time to move on. I'm a bit young (25) to be campaigning to preserve the integrity of the christmas #1.

Depends when they allow them to be counted. Would be rather artificial if they allowed them, conveniently, Christmas week.

Wouldn't put it past them though. A chart system that's so open to manipulation isn't worth bothering with, IMO.
 
It's only the weekly downloads with will not be able to chart - It to protect the integrity of the voting on the show.

The winners track will be able to chart in time for Xmas.
