What "Must see" films have you not got round to watching?

Godfather 1 & 2. I got bored.
Citizen Kane. Well I got half way through and then watched something else, and never finished it. I must try again.
Metropolis and Seven Samurai are also on my hit lit.

Never seen the original star wars films start to finish (seen bits ofc, didnt captivate me)

And never seen Titanic

What shall we do to this chap? We could burn him for never seeing the good Star Wars films, or congratulate him on his good fortune for not ever having endured Titanic? :D

Yeah, in my opinion I would have to give "best star wars movie" to revenge of the sith on the count of having not seen the originals.

I know that is royally messed up

congratulate him on his good fortune for not ever having endured Titanic? :D

I've never watched Titanic either but didn't think it counted as a "must see" film so didn't bother to mention it. I remember when it came out making a conscious decision that I wouldn't go and see it, I feel that time has vindicated my choice on that and it also means that I've not lost 194 minutes of my life to that film.

Hurt Locker, got it on bluray after everyone I knew raved about it, still not watched it yet though.

Don't waste your time!!!!

Inception
Star Wars (had a night where me and a few mates were meant to watch them all but i fell asleep about 15 mins into the first one :/ )
The Godfather

Ones that I dont care about watching:
Godfather (fell asleep each time)
Citizen Kane (Synopsis makes me sleepy)
Slumdog Millionaire (Looks aweful)
Hurt Locker (seems like a crappy cash in designed to tug at the heart strings of people who like to say they care about things)

Ones I do actually want to watch:
Shawshank (have no idea how I havnt seen this yet)
The Wrestler (heard such good things, its sat on the shelf)
Pans Labrynth (On the shelf, wanted to watch it since it first came out - but think you have to be in the mood to really get the most out of certain types of films)

For me:
Casablanca
2001: A Space Odyssey
Once Upon A Time in the west (I've got it, always been meaning to see it, just never got round to it)

Godfather series
Goodfellas
Slumdog Millionaire
The Green Mile
The Shawshank Redemption
Kill Bill 1 and 2

Off the top of my head :/

i've never watched Blade Runner. embarrasingly enough, i have it on Blu-Ray not six feet away from me. i've not been in the right frame of mind to watch it yet though.

Blade runner, kill bills, Big Labowski, Shawshank, 2001 Space Odyssey (Though I read the book)

Along with every 'classic' black and white film... Except perhaps bed knobs and broomsticks

Matrix 2/3 are the only films I consider to be poor in this thread, all of the rest are well worth watching.

I Haven't seen 2001 Space Odyssey though, or Blade Runner :(
