Dead Rising 2

I think it gets locked to your GFWL account, so can be installed on another machine but only with the GFWL account.

All this type of DRM does to me is force me to wait until the price drops significantly. If they didn't use it then I'd happily pay the £17.99 I've seen it going for and then sell it on after I'm done with it.

I think this type of drm reduces the value of the game, after you have installed it the game is worth nothing to you.

Unless you are one of the many people who buy games without wondering how much you can flog them for once you're done.

You may not believe it but some of us actually like to play games multiple times.

So let me get this right mate, your happy to spend a lot of money on PC hardware (SLI GTX480 is a waste unless you have a 30" TFT BTW) but find spending £17.99 on a game to play on it too much  DR2 also makes good use of GTX480 SLI would be even better as you can use x32AA & the 800+ zombies onscreen at once will look even better :D

You do realise that unless you support the companies that make PC games your hardware is not going to get much of a workout unless you can find productive non gaming uses for it ;)

It's more that I've already got over 1000 games I haven't played yet. By the time I've played a few of 'em the value will have dropped considerably. If they didn't have this DRM they would have persuaded me to make a day one purchase. I've pumped many thousands into the game industry over the course of my life, I really don't feel guilty about not buying this title right now.

Over 1000.

Disregarding how utterly absurd that sounds, why would you continue to buy games when you have so many others you haven't played? I can relate to a point, I always have 1-2 new books before I've finished reading my current one, however that's just encase I can't find anything for a while, I will also maybe take a break from my current books to read a big new title.

Also, no one is saying you should feel guilty about not buying a game now, it changes nothing after all.

First off, disregarding how absurd that sounds, why would you buy so many games and not play them for however long? I mean they aren't going anywhere.

Over 400 in my Steam account, largely purchased in the Steam summer sale. About another 200 in retail PC games accumulated over the years. Loads of console games and then tonnes on emulators.

Was a steady accumulation until that blasted Steam sale...blew about £600 in it! :o

As for playing them, I plan to but then get sucked into specific titles so I don't have time for playing others. Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 for instance have managed to consume over 100 hours of my life!

Also, no one is saying you should feel guilty about not buying a game now, it changes nothing after all.

I just intended to state that I do support the game industry.

No worries mate just trying to gently tell you this game is something which will stretch your system ;)

At least you support the PC but there are many others who do not unfortunately...........

I probably came across too strongly. Clearly there was no ill will on your part. Just finding recently that I'm having to go on the defensive a bit more than usual, so I'm reacting to things prematurely. My apologies! :)

I will get this game at some stage, no doubt at all. Next one for me though is Red Dead Redemption, looks fantastic. :)
