ever woke up with a dead arm because you slept on it?

This morning i found my self looking at my floppy arm that had the blood circulation cut off because i had been sleeping on it in a funny way , does anyone else get this and just laugh because you're crippled till it comes around?

not me personnally but I know someone at uni who did this and called an ambulance because he thought he'd had a stroke

I fell asleep on my thumb 2 months ago and its still in pain. I cant remember the medical name for it.

I once did this and it went totally dead.

I panicked and started flailing it about in order to get some feeling back.

I only succeeded in punching myself in the face. Hard.

I think it has more to do with constant pressure on the nerve than blood circulation... Not entirely certain

Yeah had this a few times. I sometimes wake up during the night and smack myself in the face as I didn't know my arm was dead.

it's a strange feeling when you can't control your limb through sleeping oddly... first time i had it i thought i'd had a stroke :eek:

Yep. I slept on my arm in such a way as the hand was draped over my face. I woke up, arm completely numb to see a hand inches from my face unable to determine whose it was! Bricks were laid I can tell you!
