ever woke up with a dead arm because you slept on it?

not me personnally but I know someone at uni who did this and called an ambulance because he thought he'd had a stroke

woah that is scary,i think you would know when you're having a stroke as its chest pains..

Not necesarily.

A friend of mines mother had a stroke in her sleep 6 weeks ago. When she woke up she had what she thought was 'A dead left arm' which then an hour or 2 later was still 'numb'. Her speech and memory were quite badly affected but she is recovery well and now just strugles to touch her thumb to her little finger. So you may well have a stoke and never know depending how seriously affected your are and how quickly you recover.

Slept on my arm last week. Turning the dial on the shower on is fun with a numb hand!

Yeah, a few times. Once it was completely cut off, absolutely dead and it was lying across my body. Surprisingly heavy when there's no muscle assistance to move it!

should have fappped, would have been like someone else doing it for you. :p

The stranger, it'also impossible how do you frapp with no muscle control and how quick are you seeing as feeling and controll come back in seconds.

Did get scared once when the arm wasn't just dead but cold and clammy. But it was ok.

Yep happened many times. Happened on holiday recently, good job the bf didn't wake up otherwise he would have seen me using my other hand to wave it around and get the feeling back hehe.

Happened with my foot as well when I was younger. my mum woke me up and I was still like a zombie. In my sleepy state I put my slippers on and got up to walk downstairs. Next thing I knew I was clinging to the door frame and my mum was asking what had happened. My slipper was halfway across the landing. Guess it was one way of waking me up! :D

Never woken up with a dead arm before. But this morning I woke up (rather, my girlfriend woke me up) with my left hand scratching her back. Was random.

Yeah has happen quite a few times.
A good one was years ago when i was staying at my then girlfriends house. Woke up in the morning, no life in right arm so threw it with my other and clobbered everything off her bedside table :D

I feel asleep on my forearm not long ago, woke up, moved arm, not realising I had a dead arm and ended up thumping myself in the face. The miss's laughed at me.

Needless to say I was not amused at the time!

My dads friend lost the use in his arm for several years from this very thing.

It suddenly came back years later.

Very odd.

well something todo with you're heart?

No.

Stroke's are caused by a loss of blood to a segment of the brain, normally caused by a thrombus that's migrated. Loss of blood to brain leads to oxygen starvation, some parts of brain shut down --> Stroke.

(Cant explain it any more simply :p)

I think twice woke up with zero feeling in my arm, but both those times were a while back. I remeber once I started moving it, it was like I could feel all the blood flowing back in to it, that was weird!

Nowadays, I don't get the dead arm, but I'm waking up with very sore arms, as I got a new bed. My old one was really soft, but the mattress on my new one is much harder, so before I used to be able to fall asleep on a limb and it didn't hard because the mattress just absorbed it, but now it just has my whole body weight on it :(
