Nvidia Shenanigans again?

looks like there is a lot of detailed distant tessellation going on in Hawx 2, I think AMD' s cheap way of gaining extra performance has backfired.

Do you actually know AMD's 'new' way of doing tessellation?

What's the problem anyway? It's an unreleased card, and say it will be improved by released day (not fixed I noted just improved).

Perhaps Ubisoft wanted to do Heavy tessellation and AMD's card's unfortunately don't offer this? Who knows?

I'm sure it will all come out in the wash.

no he doesnt, he is saying he does cus he is a pain in the bum and simply allways says the same stuff over and over

raven you never cease to amaze me, with your daft comments
how on earth can you make judgement on a cards tesselation performance without it being out ?

Congrats you win the award for the most nonsensical post of the day.

I'm referring to the performance in Hawx 2 :o

Seemed pretty straight forward to me.

He states you don't know how AMD has implemented tesselation (which you don't), he states you are a pain in the bum (open to discussion), and finally states you repeat yourself a lot (which you do).

It's my opinion, I'm entitled am I not? come the reviews of AMD's performance in Hawx 2, I'm happy to retract all I have said if some evidence come to light that it's the developer screwing over AMD and not AMD having issues.

Yeah the screen I posted details how they do tessellation lol, repeat as in when..:o

Ubisoft are a massive company and IMO not so stupid to implement dodgy code so the game runs like crap on AMD cards, it's not in their interest considering AMD have the majority of the DX11 market currently. I think it's down to AMD to sort their drivers out.

DX10.1 ? Or do you forget that.
I don't know about the 6XXX tessellation performance, just that the 5XXX wasn't great.

I take it you haven't read any of your posts then?

Hawx 2 is not the only tessellation benchmark, and no doubt Heaven, Dirt 2, AVP and the likes will be drilled to death with Nvidia and ATI cards alike when the new cards are launched, its just this hastily leaked bench they appear to have an issue with that Ubi has for some reason refused to fix.......

Anybody remember Nvidia benching the Dirt 2 demo (DX9 only) on their cards and pitching against ATI's DX11 performance in the retail version as I do.....

If UBI weren't stupid they would make sure there game works best on the cards that have the largest DX11 market share - smacks of coruption to me.

Rroff/Raven : Pure speculation guys. If you have some information that we should know about to back up what your saying I'd appreciate you posting it :-)

Is it Ubisofts fault that AMD decided to implement some new way of dealing with tessellation? maybe it screws over Nvidias card in the performance stakes who knows, we'll have to see how it pans out.

Also to note, if Ubisoft have had support from Nvidia and want to use tessellation in this way, they don't have to change something for another company. It would be sensible obviously, but maybe there is more to it? Or maybe it is simply that ATI's cards are overwhelmed with the tessellation requests? Who knows.

At the end of the day is a non-final bench, that will have bugs etc, things may improve over time. Who play's Hawx 2 anyway?
