Well I won't be having an E60 M5 then...

In the boot.

I see.

When you do find a job, make sure it isn't in fire investigation.

I'll try my best not to. I just thought since that is the side the tyre has gone from, maybe it did. It was a guess. I'm not an expert. Jeez.

What a mess!

I'd be VERY concerned with the 32min delay for the emergency services to attend, thats very scary!!

Had a fire break out in the house I live in last week which required the fire brigade. Took them less than 10mins from the call to their arrival over a distance that in rush hour traffic, without blues n twos, would take 25mins (if you're lucky).

Without knowing the location of the fire in respect to the station it's not a cut and dry they were slow or working to rule which made them slow.

Any other day last week and at least 2 people would've been in quite serious danger so I'm happy with the service and hope I never have to use them again :)

George Mackmurdie

Customers car or his this time? Well respected? Ha don't make me laugh, the guy turned up at my house once threatening me cause of some rumour. There are plenty of stories about the guy for people to come to their own conclusions.

He was banned from most forums for a reason, his wiring wasn't great either ...

Not really sure I get how anyone was trapped in the house, is that just to add some more internet drama?

It wouldn't be the first time. Tales of customers cars being nicked whilst he was ran over was one.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Expected response really. Phate I'm sure you're aware of how many people I know from the old rover days, I've seen this time after time.

What an odd reply, I don't think he said nobody was entitled to an opinion

Opinions on George are so varied its unreal. I've dealt with him a few times and never had a problem with him personally. Nobodys saying he isn't entitled to an opinion, wherever you go your going to find someone who doesn't like him no doubt. So it was just in response to him saying he didn't like him, he's entitled to that opinion.

I'm not really fully aware, no. I know you had a 220T and that's about it :p (I'm told it was awesome as well!)

Like I said, opinions are massively varied on George. I've not had any problems with him and I'm not going to jump on any bandwagon until I do. (And considering my next car is unlikely to be an MG I can't see this happening anytime soon :p) :)

Didn't George mess you about with some body or suspension parts for your MG?

Surprised he's still getting customers with his shoddy work... maybe he did some fancy wiring on this M5 and that was the cause of the fire ;)

I guess I best shut up before he joins OcUK and takes me to court for slander... I think that was George anyway :p

And slightly more on topic, after burning for over half an hour, I would have expected to see much less of that car.

Nu uh, there's a shed load of stuff the fire has to eat through before it moves on to anything else. That lump would slow down most fires
