What is everyone's battery life like? Mines down to 24% since I unplugged it @ 7am this morning

So you had a full charge over night, and within 4 hours it has lost 75% of its charge?

Does anyone know how long the battery would last if playing back video? The main reason I wanted to get this phone was to watch pre-downloaded TV shows on my commute to/from work, with some light/youtube type browsing through the working day.

Yes, I left it on charge over night and unplugged it @ 7am this morning.
I have the same features and usage as my X10 which lasted over a day
EDIT: It's now @ 15%
Mines pretty much the same usage as that and its now died.
Good job I have a USB cable with me.

The missus has an app on her desire that tells you what features are draining the battery and the percentage of the spent battery they used. Very handy for identifying what's sapping the juice. Turned out wifi left on was the biggest of her problems
I seem to remember it was a free app from the Android market.

Odd you should say CPU usage. I have noticed since the update the phone has been pretty laggy.
Ill download it and see.
For those coming from an iphone, how does the battery life compare to the iphone 3GS.
I can get two days out of my 3GS usually (7am day 1 to 10pm day 2 - GPS on, WiFi on, Bluetooth off). I can't get my head around charging a phone up every day so if it doesn't last as long as a 3GS then it's a no go for me.

My WiFi is off and the screen has been @ 50% all morning.

Using Spare Panel CPU is constantly @ 100%

I don't know how you get 2 days out of a 3GS i couldn't get 1 full day out of the Iphone 4 and that has a lot better battery use than a 3GS.
I wouldn't say I'm a heavy user! A few texts per day, the odd call here or there, a small amount of wi-fi at work then an hour or two wi-fi in the evening. Rarely listen to music, play games for at most 10-15mins every now and then, no push services activated.
The signal on the 3GS is shocking and I rarely get a signal in our living room - there is a direct link between how many hours in the day I'm in the living room vs how quickly the battery drains!
i get 2 days out of my iphone4 sometimes. have never got less than a day even when playing music and browsing.
for example yesterday i was on a 7 hour bus ride , music all the way , internet every so often , games. and before i was on the bus i was taking lots of photos around london , even used gps for 15 mins when we where lost . its currently been on for 28 hours with 15% battery left

You'll probably get 1 - 1.5 days with the Desire HD (maybe 2 but that'll be pushing it with poor reception)
