13.3" laptop please

Sorry mate I've been out since 8am, only just got home. Transferring a 12GB movie to my USB stick to test out, will make a vid on my iphone 4 and post on here.

Sold out? Over 20 were in stock yesterday.

Just uploaded the video. You will have to take my word for it that the quality is great, especially kung fu panda :D I hope the video gives some idea as to the 'smoothness' though. The two 1080p files are like 10-12GB each.

The battery was very low, the laptop wasn't plugged in and as shown in the video it was set to power-saving gpu. HD video files start up quite quickly. I noticed that with the 1080p files 'sometimes' when you move to a different scene it takes about a sec to sync. The playback however is clear, sharp and smooth. BTW this is with it set to power-saving gpu so expect performance to be the same but more likely a bit better when using the ATI.

One downside to this laptop though is the speakers, they aren't that good. They do the job but they aren't great, but I suppose I am use to my PC speakers so I can't really compare.

Battery wise I would say so far it's lasting all day which ranges from 4-5 hrs without a charge. This is watching programs on youtube and general internet usage. With some tweaking and if it was only being used for internet browsing and doing work it should easily be hitting 7-8 hrs if not more.

If you can do without HDMI, I think this is the best 13.3" in terms of price & performance at the moment hands down.

Laptop speakers are just generally poor. 4-5 hours sounds a bit low. I'd expect an extra hour on top of that for watching videos. If this is using the battery meter estimate, these can be off and improve as the laptop gets used more.

You can still get this for just over £360. I still think that is a bargain, however I'm now suffering with my mind saying 'What would you do with it' a lot.. Even though I can see it being a benefit, allowing me to take my work away from my Desktop computer where I am constantly distracted by games or other bits and pieces, such that I could be falling behind with uni work soonish.

Compared to other similar laptops on the market, I agree that 360-370 is still worth it. I would have still got it for around this price, but £430 is pushing it!

Just been checking on youtube to see if anyones fitted an SSD in one of these :p and came across a vid of someone unboxing this laptop, saying how it was £750 but they got it for a bargain £414! The vid was only posted 2 months ago, AND it was the 1.3ghz cpu model with 3GB ram and integrated gfx.

I wish I bought 2 of these now!!! :p

Hah I saw a similar, if not the exact same, video. At that point I looked online and yes some places are selling the version that was purchased for as much as £700. Its a bit ridiculous considering how you can get it for half the price and now with the added Gfx power. I have my finger over the purchase button right now. I still think this could just be my uni work laptop, saving my main desktop for games / media production work, instead of having it on for so many hours in the day sapping all the eleccy with my stupid 4870 lol.

BTW I've just found this IN STOCK (142 available) elsewhere for £350. Not sure if delivery is free though.

EDIT: Delivery appears to be £3.99 so total inc VAT & Delivery is just under £355.

Same place I've ordered it from. Flipped a coin, 2 heads vs 1 tails.. ordered.. simple! hopefully get it tomorrow so I can fiddle with it in my free afternoon.

It was either this or sell my main rig get a macbook pro and a henge dock. Only issue with the Macbook is graphics power is pants compared to my desktop (I like pretty games), plus id loose my 3 tbs of hd space. Hopefully by ordering this Notebook I'm in for a winner option.

Do you lack the ability to post anything useful?

I did use the search engine anyway, hence me saying I only found it at £430 ...95% of the time I can find what I'm after within seconds just by searching, this time I couldn't find it within a couple of minutes so I just asked. Simple.

DotA, I sent you a trust message with the info you want.
