Sega releases new batch of PC conversions on steam. Mega Drive Classics 3

I think they are too expensive, they should be 50p a pop at the most.

£4 for Sonic, Ive bought Bioshock and STALKER for less than that.

If these are just emulated i.e. not re-made for PC then what's the point, surely Sega are aware of the huge (free) emulator scene?

Emulators are just too good and 100% working with no messing. If they release a full set for the PS3 for £50 I'd buy it

So they should just twiddle their thumbs instead? No point releasing any games since they can be pirated for free anyway?

Columns™ III
Ecco™: The Tides of Time,
ESWAT™: City Under Siege,
Golden Axe™ II
Sword of Vermilion
Sonic the Hedgehog

Omg.

PGA tour golf or desert strike would be instant buys if for max of 2 quid each imo. Shame they aint in the list. They are great games.

No they should put some effort in to it and remake them. I expect most of us have at some point bought these games 1st, 2nd or 3rd time round and if they want us to buy them again at least make it worth how while and update them a bit.

Also rightly or wrongly emulation is seen differently to piracy and most wouldn't feel they were doing anything wrong. I'm not saying sega shouldn't carry on selling there back catalogue i'm saying add some value above what we can all get hold of within minutes for free ;)

I see absolutely no problem with them just slapping them up with no added extras for a couple of quid. Some classic games there which will no doubt be worth the asking price for many. Are they released on things like xbox live and the playstation network? I would imagine them selling better there than on pc where a good percentage of users know its damn easy just to download and emulate.

For a casual gamer who sees e.g. Golden Axe for £4, it's a good idea for a more serious gamer who actually wants a 'classic' collection of Mega Drive games, it's pretty much the worst way to go about it. TBH, for £4 a go, you wouldn't go far wrong in buying a Mega Drive with 10 games for £20 and then sourcing games one by one.

I still think they should just release a full collection. We've had this a few times now on various platforms. They release a retro classics collection consisting of 2 great games, 5 ok games and 10 games you have never heard of (even though you were there back in the day) It's as though they do it in some vague hope that they can release volumes 2,3,4,5,6,7 etc but the half-cocked volume 1 never gets the sales they want. As much as I love older game (hence the username) lifes too short to be dealing with 20 year old games on a singular basis. If someone released a full set of Amiga games for the PS3 for £80, I'd buy it tomorrow:D

There's already Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection for the 360 and PS3 which contains the majority of the decent Sega games on there, especially some of the famous trilogies. Just a shame a few are missing (Where the hell was The Revenge of Shinobi if Shinobi III was included!) which ironically enough some are available for PC on the Steam collections.

Sword of Vermilion was a classic in it's day, first RPG I played.

ESWAT is a classic full stop. Plays great today too. This pack is the best so far on Steam in my opinion, but it is too expensive imo.
