Nothing special when I first saw it. At this price the 470 is still a better buy.

was looking at an EVGA SC 470 at £200 or this. The 470 better?

If comparing speed at overclocked, then yes the GTX470 is definitely faster by a fair margin...but it is however higher power consumption, hotter and the cooler would most likely be louder than the 6870.

There's been a few on here recently, I suggest liamcrane you have a look around these very forums and all will become clear....
Well, dont forget that the GTX 470 also consumes around twice the power of a 6870.
