13.3" laptop please

Do you lack the ability to post anything useful?

I did use the search engine anyway, hence me saying I only found it at £430 ...95% of the time I can find what I'm after within seconds just by searching, this time I couldn't find it within a couple of minutes so I just asked. Simple.

DotA, I sent you a trust message with the info you want.

It took me literally 10 seconds to find it at 350 on google. Just seemed like people were not bothering to search themselves.

I apologise for the sarcastic comment though!

3x USB 2.0 ports
Kensington lock slot
8 Hrs+ Battery Life
1.6Kg

Price: £330 delivered

Hopefully I get it sometime this week! :)

I have this laptop, and I believe I paid almost twice that about 6 months ago! Ace little laptop, 7 doesn't like the fingerprint reader though (if it's the same one that I'm thinking about TM 8371?)

But either way, same specs as mine, does play HL2 engine based games, but oftern goes a little loopy when stuff is going on, i.e. L4D2, when you get a tank whilst there is a rampage going on it usually craps out, or TF2 where there is a lot of battle going on... But it handles WoW perfectly in full screen under "Good" graphics, ditto for HD video - as all I watch these days is 720p TV shows.

Just ordered, the website which is selling it for 350 also has a voucher code for 2.5 percent off if anyone wants to search for it, or PM me. :)

I am getting more and MORE tempted to order a second one, with a 120GB SSD drive. :D

Me too please I cant find it for that price on google

Thankyou :)

I've been using mine all afternoon and tbh I think I love it!
The screen is crisp clear, althou hasn't got the best viewing angles.. The keyboard is nice to type on and isn't noisy what so ever, its quieter than my Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. It is so much snappier than my previous nc10. Installing Win7 onto this as I type so hopefully get it up and running even better tomorrow.

How are you installing it, via USB?

I think i saw software from microsoft which allows you to boot from a USB to install windows 7. Ill have to hunt it down for me!

I should go with 64bit right since it has 4gb of ram?

Now bought one, hopefully arriving later this week. My first laptop!

First laptop? blimey, i thought everyone had a laptop nowadays.

I dont have any statistics but im sure more people have laptops now then desktop computers. All the average consumer stores like dixons, argos etc sell mostly laptops now.

I digress though sorry!

Cant wait for mine to come :D

Wow that is a great price, definately would have had second thoughts over my £550 HP 2310ea but I guess my i3 processor and dvd writer makes up for it, and Win 7 license.

Just installed a 64GB Crucial C300 SSD in mine :D it slots straight in! Total price for laptop plus SSD was £440. Win7 bootup is much quicker now, currently installing updates but I will check under the battery in a short while to see if theres a sim slot. :)

Yeah that might be a better deal if you have the money and cant get a windows 7 license.

Luckily for me i get windows 7 free so that will be going on straight away, already having bad flashbacks of vista! AAAHH

For me finding this laptop was a godsend, means i can stretch my student loan just that little bit further!

Cheers man, i had a look on acer website and it said about 3g being on selected models, but it didnt say which models!

I wish i could afford an SSD :( 64gb probably isnt enough for me though unfortunately with all the files i have!

How big is your screen? What about battery life? :)

haz_pro, I know what you mean, an SSD is just no option really if you need the storage, they are still ridiculously expensive. I don't need much storage at all though, the 320GB which I pulled out has gone into an external hdd USB case plus I have 2TB storage on my main PC! I wanna squeeze the most out of this Acer, I'm not buying a second one instead I will keep a lookout for a cheap pink laptop and send that to the mrs in a few months time n nab this off her :D It certainly is very nippy and the SSD has given it a nice boost. :)

Yeah man, i wouldnt need all my music etc when travelling so i COULD make do just about with an SSD, but the price i just cant justify.

Knowing me though ill end up with my finger over the purchase button one night when im bored and end up impulse buying one! lol.
