Is a 750 Watt power supply enough for 5870 in Crossfire?

Not sure what make yet tho?! Maybe Antec EarthWatts 750W

Thanks

550w can power two 5870's, so 750 will do it very easily.

I recommend the XFX 650W XXX, it's Modular, only £70, and based off the Seasonic M12D platform which is very, very good.

Do you have one of these units yourself or do you work for XFX or summut?

Just that you seem to be plugging it awfully hard at the mo!....:) LOL

750w will be fine for crossfire 5870 gpus, any PSU from Corsair, BeQuiet or the XFX which was mentioned above all get reasonable reviews.

ok

i already have an Antec 550 watt, should i try that first..... could save me some £££

I'd not risk it on a 550w.

You'll be extremely close to the limits if you're even within them.

I'd go for a 700w+ PSU - Corsair is my personal recommendation
You need 60 amps on the 12v rails and 4 6pin connectors or some molex adaptors.
