So according to this thread here
http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/...ny-2-pc/1283798-bronze-stars-insignias-3.html
The bronze star insignia no longer requires specact weapons, but it does require you to get a bronze star for it to check. So if you already have all bronze, you don't get given it and you can't get it.
Really is it that difficult to get it right? We've had it not working because the M1 didn't record kills (so no stars for it), then they fixed that and the specact weapons bugged it, now they've fixed that, but it's still bugged for anyone who already has the bronze stars.
Once again another fantastic patch by Dice. Not only is the insignia still broken, but we now have invisible tracers as well.
Where are people on ocuk playing then?
so 900 mb for a few bug fixes?
Each patch gets larger than the previous, because the game drifts ever further away from what was shipped on the DVD. Changes that require shader database updates make the patch balloon in size. And we have to be careful and clever when selecting which file types to include and which to ignore when creating the patch.
And that's where we finally ran into real problems. It was too difficult for one person to identify which changes were required and which were not, and how to update the patch generation process to accommodate the latest set of changes. Most of the delay of Client R8 was because there are very few people at DICE who have the in-depth knowledge of the far-spanning corners of the game engine *and* the cooking tools *and* the patch generation process, to work out what is going wrong, why, and how to fix it.
Lots of snipers where moaning today!
so 900 mb for a few bug fixes?
Only difference that I can see is the removal of tank shells which is a right pain in the bum, much harder to adjust shots now.
Good games tonight with Pieplough, c4'ing like crazy. Best way to take out the mcom stations! (I suicided 8 times in one map...)
