What unpopular opinions do you hold?

1. I think 95% of the UK population are idiots.
2. I welcome immigrants as I see it as an opportunity to spice up our dwindling gene pool.

I think multiculturalism isn't working as I hoped it would. NOTHING to do with point '2' as people can, and does, adopt nicely.
I think you should be given benefits for up to 24 months and then have to carpet pulled out from under you. After than you're given enough money for a shelter every night.
I'm seeing dyslexia mentioned here quite a bit and think 99% of such claims are pure and utter BS. See point number 1.

That's because 95% of the population ARE idiots :)

People in general are ignorant, selfish, arrogant but above all they are stupid.

Unless i know someone i see everyone the same way and i class them as all the above. Infact i even class about 90% of the people i know as the above.

People are scum. Everywhere, everyone, all the time. As much as we love to aspire to higher standing, we are animals at heart, and the vast, vast majority of the population let their bestial instincts dominate most of their lives, often when they're not aware of it. I'll grant that there are a select few out there who are aware of this, and even fewer still who have overcome it, but assuming that this person you've just met is a waste of oxygen and changing your opinion of them as you come to understand the way they live their life is a huge timesaver compared to assuming all people are fundamentally decent and being consistently disappointed.

Edit: Also, thongs aren't sexy. They look like bum floss. French knickers and full-arsed cotton panties are the hottest things a girl can wear, apart from a pair of your boxers. It's like unwrapping a Christmas present.

I think that no one should be allowed to have children unless they meet
certain criteria at that point in time i.e financially,Stable relationship etc.

No money should be handed out whilst on claiming off the state instead ration
books should be issued.

No more than two children allowed.

You honestly think AIDS is natural???

Right, because most people know it's a synthesised virus. AIDS is a textbook example of natural population control - any species that overpopulates a given area invariably runs in to a barrier to prevent further breeding or even cut the population down - the fact that it's not wiped half of humanity from the planet is a testament to the evolution of mind & society that offers us unprecedented protection from the balance of nature.

That while thousands of children float in limbo in the fostering system and social care, that spending NHS funds on IVF so infertile couples can have their own biological children is wrong.

I agree with you 100% on this!

By the way, I think this is a really good thread concept - not an unpopular opinion, I surmise, but I thought it was worth saying.

Edit: Also, I'm kinda disturbed with how much I agree with certain posts here. The restricting kids thing, assumed medical conditions, waiters shouldn't be tipped as a matter of course - all things I'm constantly shocked that people don't automatically conclude.

Edit 2: Perhaps not shocked, considering my general opinion of 'people'.

We are not the all powerful species we think we are and when it comes to it we (humans) are kinda useless, discounting our ability to use language and tools.

Excellent points. No more breeding like pigs only to sit there like ... pigs ... and expect handouts to fund your stupidity.

I agree with this. I think every kid out there should be given a loving home and family.
