I'm not behind the army and I don't think war has/will ever solve anything. Live every other form of violence it's the last resort of a feeble mind.

Mass sterilization of the Jeremy Kyle audience and participants.

Sterilize parents that have children taken into care.

Tokens, not cash (food, utility bill payment) for long term unemployment.

This, apart from the "every other form of violence" bit. I think violence is sometimes the only choice, but while it certainly has its place, I still consider it to be the lowest of roads.

On a similar note, I think compensation for soldiers wounded in battle is wrong. They're soldiers, the risk of death or serious injury is a core part of the job they're paid to do. Anyone moronic enough to fight for a living isn't entitled to monetary reparation if they suffer from the consequences of their brainless choices.

I'd also chuck in that H&S signs on railways, pylons, cliffs & other hazardous areas should be done away with - if you don't have the acuity to recognise blatant dangers, the best thing you can do is take yourself out of the gene pool. We don't need you breeding, thank you very much.

Personally, I think that people who can't understand the value of drinking to get drunk shouldn't be allowed to propagate, but I guess that's what the thread is all about :p
 
ALL drugs should be decriminalized, exactly like they did in Portugal. Most of the UK will disagree with this, but it works.

I also think that Independence for Scotland would not work, at all. I get the impression that most people don't hold this view.

What's the point in drinking if it's not to get drunk? Most drinks aren't anywhere near good enough to drink without getting drunk, why not just drink Irn Bru instead?

ANYONE who EVER intentionally gets drunk... have you seriously never dont this?? humanity would dwindle out very quickly if it was just you and tom cruise (only famous person i can think of who doesnt drink)

Alcohol is and almost always has been used for recreational purposes. Even jesus drank a bit!! (though we dont know if he ever drunkenly had a fling with saint peter)

The immigration system needs tightening/scrapping so immigrants who have kids here can't marry those kids off to one of their cousins and get another one into the country.

Illegal immigrants should be expected to lie when the sneak into the country, if they claim to be under 16 it's because they know our social services system will swoop in and look after them. Even if they are actually 18 when they get here.

Getting your cousin pregnant is not how you prove what a loving stable couple you are, it might wash back in Iraq, but not here.

I wasn't alive at the time, but from what I've read she did a damn fine job and we should have had her instead of the labour dimwits for the last however many years!
