upgrading hdd on 4gb black 360

Yeah pretty much, they can kiss me goodbye if i get banned for using an official MS HDD.

You can buy Western Digital BEVS or some such and then flash them to work. The method is probably frowned upon here, but if you google it then there will be guides telling you which models work and how to do it.

Or use Alpherahs method and it will work right away.

Yes, it works. Also, MS will not ban you for using either an official or unofficial drive. Sure, it's technically against the ToU but they don't ban for it.

I do hope you're right! From what I have been reading, although people have been using hacked WD drives for quite a while now, there is still a slim chance that the consoles could be banned from Live in a future update as the drives have an identical serial number after the 'operation'.

Of course there is always a chance, but I honestly can't see MS doing it. People have been using these hacked drives for a few years now and there have been loads of updates, I would have though that MS would have done it by now if they were going to.

No its internal. You cannot remove it.

Its just an empty drive bay. You can fit any xbox drive you feel like.

Or just use any other drive and save a few quid. I have seen the standard 250gb drives go for £35 is it worth another £35 for a plastic case thats really not needed..
