Farming Simulator 2011!!

Seeing this i know that my gaming life is now complete. I really had no idea what my next purchase was gonna be, but now i know :p.

In all fairness though this 'game' looks a fair bit more exciting than The Graveyard (also on Steam).

Id buy this! lol, i bought that train sim the other week, played for about an hour and got bored rigid! back to iRacing for me haha. Now if we could race combines that might be fun?!

Well since they sold 500,000 copies of it compared to Battlefield Bad Comany 2 which sold 2.29m, I think that's pretty decent sales tbh.

Starcraft 2 only sold 2.5m copies which is only 5 times as much as that was the biggest blockbuster game of this year?

In fact, I just checked and in 2010 it outsold Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on the ps3.

And since the game is sold on PC only and doesn't have any advertising campaigns that we know of, it's even more decent.
 
Not another in the "Worlds most boring jobs Simulator" series. I remember going into GAME a couple of weeks ago, I was in there for like 10 mins, I saw about 20 people laughing at the Simulator games and nobody buying them....And this was in Norfolk, so if you can't sell any Farming Simulators in Norfolk, then how the **** are you selling them anywhere else?

Because of the embarrassment factor, you wouldn't want to buy it in a shop hence buy it online in brown plain wrapping ;)

Point is, people may laugh but there are many, many pc games released in 2010 and even on consoles which didn't sell as many copies as Farming Simulator. A lot of games developers with bigger budgets and massive advertising would have killed for the sales figures of these game. Even Doom only sold 5 million copies.

Backed up by the massive amount of dedicated modding sites for the game (I see you can download a mark II golf GTI for the game - lol)

Look at the success of farmsville?
 
So 1 person in this post has bought it and others dont want to admit they have? :P

Tempting as i said before but can think of better games to spend £20 on

I think the majority of sales must have been drunk people!

Why would anyone want to play this, really?
It'd be fun for 10minutes I guess, but it's just like all those people on facebook addicted to Farmville :(
 
Heh, when i was younger, i was a big collector of farming toys. What you get growing up on a farm:)

Noticed the game a few weeks ago, dig a little deeper and you'll see there's quite a big mod community, kinda like the trainsim mob.

Tbh fair play to um. Why we love pc's, all things to everybody:)
