Anyone else picking this up on Friday? I've not played a wrestling game since Raw 2 on the original xbox in 2002 but am tempted to give this new one a try. I want to see how the genre has evolved since I last power slammed the Big Show.

I've read it supports custom soundtracks for created wrestler entrances and has a 12 player online royal rumble mode. Any other OcUKers up for hitting the canvas with me on Friday? Am thinking I'll get this on PS3 but am really undecided about the format I will get it for still. I think the PS3 version might have the edge though.
 
I'm really tempted, the last one I played was 2008 I think.
From the video's that I've watched it looks pretty good, and all the new online features make it very appealing!
 
Yeah it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun online. I've read that the lag issues with 2010 have been resolved too. So what console are you guys getting it for?

I thought that a couple of years ago and was actually wrong the 360 ones have been better over the past few years since 2008 was released for both consoles. I'm bit skeptical as they don't seem to change much every year I've never missed out on a wrestling game I quite like the new physics that has been implemented this year with the way tables break and how you put people through them. I might pick this up when I see it bit cheaper.
 
definatly picking this up friday and if anyone needs help with the royal rumble online achievement let me know
 
Right I'm thinking 360 now then. I guess that Xbox Live will make the online experience better anyway. I did read that the Xbox only support 4 player local play whereas the PS3 supports 6. This is due to the 4 player only "ring" rule Microsoft have for the 360. I won't be doing much of this though so I guess it's not going to impact me.
 
My personal fav WWE SvR is the 2007 version and I haven't bothered moving onto a newer one since. Not sure what to do about this, is there a demo on the marketplace?
 
The Universe mode interests me, a chance to have a show play out without me fully determining how the 'Show' ends up.

Not sure if I want to pump fll price in atm as I always wait for good CAWs of old school wrestlers ie i want the NWO to come back in some form, so I can lead the game that way and then see how it plays out :D

Its one of the things with EWR (the text sim) that annoys me, in that I have to force everything, which is probably what a booker does... yet I want to have some control but also the unknown and the AI to use personalities against what im doing.

I got mine this morning, was putting off buying it, then went to order this and Fable 3 yesterday and ended up just getting this! :)

Not played it yet, wasn't that happy with last years, but now the object physics seem to have been tweaked as this years main point alongside wwe universe, what the hey!
 
Got this yesterday and been playing through the Christian story in Road to Wrestlemania. Enjoyable game so far with no major bugs seen so far though I saw one where the commentator was saying I was struggling when it was the opponent getting the worse of it especially with the pin. Also, the camera is annoying though might just be me having to get used to it.

Other than those two complaints it's a fun game taking me back to when I enjoyed WWF Attitude on the N64 though will probably be more interesting in create a wrestler mode. :)
 
I've brought it I'll let you know what I think tomorrow to be honest I'm expecting no different but I couldn't resist, I'd like to try out the online royal rumble but will have to wait till Monday.
 
Its getting a pretty negative response from the fans over at gamespot and with me not liking last years game I think I'll give this one a miss. Easy pins and moves taken out are the biggest complaints.
 
haven't managed to get into one online game yet, ppl leave all the time and when it did start i was greeted with a black screen.
 
Well after playing this for a few hours currently doing chris jerichos story it's a lot better than previous years. Although I do have a few gripes with the game such as the change of controls also when you hit someone with a chair in the ring it'll hit them over the head where as outside the ring it's like a step back where it'll just hit them any where maybe I'm doing something wrong?

The game seems to be lacking plenty of wrestlers I'm not quite sure how to unlock them all either. I would have loved to have the dude busters on there also bit gutted.

Like what they've done with the hell in a cell match where you can get objects from under the ring, bust through the cage and actually have enough room to wrestle outside the ring.

I'd love to try this online royal rumble and may give it a go tomorrow bit worried by the above post though.
