How many of you lot know how to resusitate someone?

I learnt many years ago, but they're always changing the way it's done, it's something like 1 breath to 10 compressions now?

I heard there some medical scientists that have developed a better more effective way of resucitaion, can't find anything on it though.

If its a man, they should be able to resusitate themselves, if not then they are weaklings.

If its a woman, you rub her chest and stroke her hair till she wakes up then run before she sees your face

lol :D

If it's a woman shouldn't that be a swift slap to the face and "Pull yourself together woman!"

As an ambulance first responder, I do. It's not pleasant though.
Also defib trained, I've yet to use it myself though

I had my mod 4 a couple of weeks ago and it has gone from 15:2 to 30:2 compressions to rescue breaths.

If there is a hazard that prevents mouth to mouth then compressions alone are to be administered as you get the negative pressure where oxygen is taken in when compressions are done.

ive had to do it once and the lady is now fine got me some chocolates and a bottle of southern cumfort

my partner has also done it and she brought the lad back but he lated died of brain damage (turned life support off)

Was taught CPR on my electrical installation course in college years ago. Can barely remember any of it but luckily have not had any need to use it thus far.

D.R.C.A.B.C.D.E!

Bit more to it now than just ABC.

This is what i was taught at my casualty care course, 4 days of it.

As a first aider don't you normally carry a pocket mask for those situations.

I was taught years ago, but now I'm not that sure and I definitely don't want to be in that situation.

Think I might go and learn first aid!
