Call of Duty: Black Ops

What sort of delivery time have Tesco had in people's past experiences? Bearing in mind this is a Tuesday release and Tesco are based in Jersey.

I got Reach a day before release when I ordered from Tesco. Pretty impressed with them tbh.

People just have a bad opinion on them because of them cancelling orders. But that was due to mis-prices, which their T&C's allow them to cancel, so i'm not sure why people keep complaining about that.

Ok, I am weak, gonna pre-order it and just hope they deliver on time or early. My concern is if they post monday it will not get here till Wednesday, as they are in Jersey, and by then I could have walked into a shop and bought it.

Fingers crossed.

Well worth saving that much money and getting the game a few days late.

Depends what the saving ends up being, but I see your general point. ;)

I will hedge my bets and hope the real bricks and mortar supermarkets don't do a good deal like last year (sub £30).

Considering how much secrecy there's been around pricing and availability at the one I work at, I'd be amazed if that were the case. That said, there's no word yet as to whether it'll just be cheap, or based on a conditional spend like FIFA was (spend £30 in store to get it cheap).

Yeah, I reckon it will be like FIFA too. You work for the orange place right?

I've had tesco games as early as 4 days in advance. Mw2 came the friday before a tuesday release. I'm convinced they pumped them out early last year because the supermarket offers were coming.

Even if they do a sub £30 deal, who cares for the sake of 3 or 4 quid. You have to get in your car and go there. Chances are the supermarkets now know these deals don't get them extra purchases and you will either have to buy another game or £50 worth of groceries.

Fifa was usual £25 or less until this year. They know the nerds just want to get in buy the game and go home. At best they buy a meal for one.

Got an email today from the purple saying it's been dispatched  :D

Get out, it hasn't been dispatched it's been sent to royal mail who will sit on it for 7 days. You will then enter this thread every day to register your disgust at the game not turning up.

No one cares about dispatch emails, start another thread.

I see your point, but tbh, if I hear it will be £30 before Tesco deliver, I will cancel. Supermarket is on my way to work.

I suspect you are right though, and last year just got them long queues at entertainment counters and no additional sales, plus people bugging them the day before release to blag it early and loads of customer support calls asking if the price was real etc.
