Such a shame the USA didnt think for a minute before voting in the republican crazys, obama didnt 'fix the world' in 2 years is as far as americans think :(, words cannot begin to describe there stupidity.

I do worry for the state of humanity if these highly dangerous people who are in the republican party take power.

I don't think it would. The current opinion ratings for the coalition government are still very good and still way above Labour.
 
Partly their own fault though, they swept Obama into office heralding him all the way as if he was some magical messiah , the hype around him was simply unbelievable and there was always going to be no way that he could live up to the expectations they had created around him

Any nation that votes GWB in TWICE will never surprise me when it comes to international displays of stupidity.
 
Still though how can they not care about a goverment that openly admits to 'not believing in evolution' in terms of it being some sort of religous belief, instead of it being what it is, observable scientific fact.

Now im not starting a debate about that here, but im more worried about the worlds most powerful goverment being in control that cannot look at a situation and make sound judgement, they simply believe what they want to believe despite there being actual factual facts sat in front of them showing them otherwise - thats very dangroues for a group of people with thousands of nukes on hand.

If someone shirts them off there the most likely goverment since the cold war to start doing stupid things, especially when it contradicts there religious beliefs, which is highly likely as in reality its more and more contradicting whats written in 'xyz book'.

Again im not looking at evo/rel here, but its a highlight/example of one of the main issues with the pshycological structure at play in the republican party currently. NOT good.

I think it's more than this though. Obama's publicity and public announcements have kept to policy. He doesn't play politics like his rivals and even other people within the Democratic party (Hilary is pretty good at this). Whilst I like this and it's a noble cause, it doesn't win the popular vote.

Yup, at least Bush was a professional politician. These Tea Party muppets are just ordinary Joe's whose only qualification for office is a beef against "big gummermint". The Republican establishment have a big problem with what to do with the Tea Party now, they're unlikely to follow the party leadership. What's scary is that some of the Tea Party share the views of some of the more extreme and amusing OCUK members.
 
Doesn't it make it harder for change to happen now as the Republicans have the Hourse of Representatives.

How does anything get done in their system with laws going back and forth. I suppose it makes the Republicans give more, as they know anything thats drawn up would get vetoed by the Senate and then the President if it gets that far.

Obama still has the Senate for the remaining 2 years of his term but it will make passing new laws and motions harder because both parties will have to come to agreements or cut deals.
 
Saw Rich Hall last night and he's perplexed by it, Obama is obviously not going to live up to expectation but he is actually a good president, yet americans can't seem to realise that.

This will happen with every President, unfortunately. The American public are very strange people when it comes to this kind of thing.

It's certainly more than this, hence why I said partly. The trouble as far as some people are seeing things is that there was so much walk on water hype around the rise of Obama and the tide of popularity which swept him along with obamania that some folks came to believe that he had all the answers and could miraculously fix everything with just one click of his fingers. Those people who stayed grounded, didn't get carried away with the obamania and realised that at the end of the day he is just another politician knew that change wouldn't happen overnight
