No way I would buy that calibre of car from a guy who writes adverts like that and wants a small van in part ex.

Not being argumentative but you want to amend that attitude, i can hand on heart say none of my pals can type and there are plenty of good cars sold by them.

Lets take this bloke selling that for example, hes not a ****, he got hold of 30k to buy it in the first place, he obviously works he wants a van, im not seeing the problem.

Skint people skimp on servicing, not people who cant spell.

I agree, plenty of people I know have / make good money and yet don't have a wonderful sense of grammar syntax and spelling

I think it's more an observation of risk. Why risk the car being a lemon and spend time out of my day (hell my time isn't worth a whole lot compared to some on here, but it's worth enough damnit) to go and seek a car that is being sold by an illiterate so and so?

I'd rather spend the extra and get one from a buyer who evidently has slightly more of a clue.

Yea i can see that and 15 years ago i might have even agreed but these days money and literacy dont go hand in hand.

And when we get right down to it, i dont give a **** what the blokes like, im there to buy a car not make a new mate.

That came out more harsh than intended sorry, i only stuck this up because its the first time iv ever seen a turbo in a for sale add at under 20k.

Edit again, i only learnt to write properly years after i left school at night school, it really dosent mean the be all and end all of a persons ability to get on.

So someone who cannot spell won't have looked after the car as much as someone who can?
The seller is sensible enough to have full porsche service history, thats a good start.

No, but someone who gave a crap about their servicing, maintenance, and even proper usage cycles (warming up, cooling down) of the car would have taken the time to write a more comprehensive advert, even a grammatically and incorrectly spelled one.

The lack of detail in the advert is more of a put-off than the wording itself.

So this car is a nail, hence its 20k price and you know that because of the spelling?

More fool you, don't judge a book my its cover. Buy the car and it's history not the sellers writting style.

I'd have to have a team of mechanics come with me to check all is well before handing that kind of money over for a car which has done over 110k miles.

Still, it does like a deal and a half, which instantly makes me worry

Just out of interest, how much would that have been new?

Sorry guys but I totally disagree. It's the cheapest 911 ever, it's advertised with hardly any detail, badly written, a selection of poor photographs and he invites PX of a small van.

I don't care whether the seller can spell but I do care whether the seller has half a brain. Somebody with half a brain who cant spell would get somebody else to help him with advertising his TWENTY THOUSAND POUND CAR.

We judge people on here by our own standards because some of us are a bit fanatical.

Some people selling a perfectly good well kept car just cant see the point of a flowery advert, it just wouldnt enter their head.

Also make no mistake that car will be sold by tomorrow night whatever it says in the advert, im sure he realises that.
