NASA UFO Footage

Err, perhaps because they've spent all that money and resources to visit us in the first place.
They would find us as special as us finding an amoeba on Mars.
heheh love the way you come across as so matter of fact ...but yes that may very well be true, because afterall we simply dont know. However you do seem to have missed my point entirely.

First of all you're assuming that these incredibly evolved and ancient aliens who have traversed space for 500 or more million years and since mastered the laws of physics far beyond our current comprehension, would be resource limited and use things like money.

Secondly they may well have studied us and found us as compelling as us finding amoeba on Mars, obviously no one knows and this is all fiction as far as we know, but to assume that we are just far too incredibly special and worthwhile that these aliens MUST land on the Whitehouse lawn and say "hello earthlings" is silly. For all we know we could be one of countless life harboring planets that the far more advanced aliens are aware of but currently find nothing more than a curiosity and too primitive to communicate with.

I think it was Dr Michio Kaku who said something along the lines of; Aliens so far superior and evolved than us could see us in the same way we see ants. If they have evolved so far and learned and mastered the nature of the universe, then to us, these beings would be like gods (I refer to my previous post about humans only being here 200-100 thousand years, which in evolutionary and universe time scales is absolutely nothing) These aliens could simply be passing by, the earth could be like an Ant Hill next to the equivalent of a frequently used space motorway.

I wasn't wondering, but I'm now wondering how you can be so wooden as to think that we're the only planet with life in an immeasurably large universe with billions of planets. That's not just arrogant, but short-sighted beyond belief.

Agreed. The probability alone of earth being the only planet to have life on it is beyond astronomical. It would even dwarf the probability of winning the Euromillions for a 1000 weeks in a row.

And assuming a Katana is an athiest how can it be that a huge universe was came into being by accident, for no apparant reason, out of nothing and on one planet for no reason again and by accident human life evolved on it, but only this planet in particular?

and quite easily not

so it begins lol we are the only ones in this vast vast vast universe, why ? because some guys on the ocuk forum say so

^^ heehee

i quite like the thought of other life being in this universe, i also thought it was an epic video..... ok the music didnt do it justice but apart from that, thanks for the awesome vid =D

Aliens so far superior and evolved than us could see us in the same way we see ants.

So therefore we would see them observing us properly and we would have chance to take proper unfuzzy film.
And if these Aliens are travelling trillions of miles to observe us and then moving on then there must be 1000s upon 1000s of other Alien civilizations that visit us and move on because of all the 1000s and 1000s of different shaped craft that are observed.
One of my favourites being the Aliens that randomly fly around like bees that can be observed from our own spacecraft and fly around a tether.
They will came one day but it hasn't happened yet.
When they come we will know.

how you can be so wooden

Thanks :) It is what I beleive. Im not stopping you from beleiving that there is intelligent life elsewhere and I'd be lying if I didnt find the thought of it exciting. I WANT to beleive in saucers and alien life but so far I just dont buy it.

Do you really think I wont be excited if I hear they did find signs of an intelligence in another galaxy someplace? We all know that would change things forever if they did and it would be fantastic news. But right now at this time - I beleive we are the only form of intelligent life.

And if Im wrong I'll be thrilled! Heck who wouldnt?!

Id call myself an agnostic TBH. As for what you said above - heres what I think: I dont think we will ever know the answer. I feel this is one of those things that mankind will never ever to the bottom off. Our science is strong I know - we have images from the very edge of the observable universe (the Hubble Deep Field for example) and all that sort of thing and one day human knowledge may well reach that 99.9%....but I personally think we can never know the answer to that ultimate question of why/how we came to be are here.

I dont want this to go down a science vs. religion episode. I respect all your thoughts on this forum :) and Im just stating mine!
