A rather annoyed man is launching a website where he is going to name and shame Britain's paedophiles.

He looks like quite an initimidating fella with a St Georges flag in shape of England on his neck.

Now, I can for see a bit of a problem coming up here - doesn't matter what anyone says there will be revenge attacks and people attacked in cases of mistaken identity.

A paediatrician was attacked when the News of the World published paedo details a few years back.

I think there should be a list of offenders for parents - but it's always going to go t**s up and cause problems.
 
There should be no list, it just leads to violence and in nearly all cases on innocent people. they are in jail or have paid their debt.

Exactly, can't see this ending well. Interesting that he has managed to obtain said information (including pictures) as surely there is DPA on the information and the likes of witness protection on some (obviously offender protection) of them.
 
I wonder if the list will distinguish between the paedophiles, hebephiles and ephebophiles.
 
Nobody can defend what these people have done.
There is no defence and thankfully the majority of them will do jail time.

However I'm a great believer in rehabilitation.
Sure people will re-offend, you can't really protect against that.
However some of these people have done their crime, have since done their time and now should be left alone.

This kind of "listing" leads to people who have tried to get their life back on track having to hide.
Many of the times the "dumb" vigilante will attack an innocent person.

I'm against censorship in most cases - but I can only hope this site is closed down before it gets off the ground.

Deep down they are still Pedophiles, Jail doesn't change that.
They are still a risk to children.
It's not like some other criminals, they have a mentality similar to serial killers.

But regardless I can't see this ending well, especially for dopplegangers!

Don't they run a programme like this in the States where sex offenders have to introduce themselves to everyone in the community?

How so? Really you're asking that? Miss identification and miss understanding of the law,

thankfully pPeople are not the law and have no right to take it in to their hands.
 
Well once the first person gets beaten up after their name appears on this list then sues the ass off of this guy it will soon stop.

You do realise that being a paedophile (by definition, someone attracted to prepubescent children) doesn't actually mean that they have or will sexually abuse children, much in the same way that a person attracted to adults will not necessarily rape them.

That is like saying a murderer is always a murderer.
A thief is always a theif.
A rapist always a rapist.

Yes there will always be re-offenders no matter what the crime.
But to say a pedophile is always a pedophile - it's a little bit general.

By saying this you're saying that it's just a matter of time before a released pedophile offends again (not an if).
So in which case you're almost advocating pre-crime - always keep them locked up becasue they will always be a risk.

I think that your sexual preferences are a very difficult thing to control. Haven't there been cases in the past - might have been in the USA - where released inmates have voluntarily had a "chemical cosh" (some sort of hormone injection) to prevent them from reoffending?

You need only go back a handful of generations and that's how it was for everyone, old enough to bleed, old enough to breed. First time mums a couple of centuries back were barely above 12, were all there partners beasts?
