Depends which way you look at it.

In terms of what it'll be used for, its an upgrade as it is better at doing that job.

In general terms its a downgrade, but I'm not sad about it - like I said, I've managed to go from one car that does everything OK, to two separate cars that each do their jobs brilliantly.

To be fair I wouldnt call a Focus 1.6 and an 11 year old Honda Civic the ideal two car garage where both cars 'do their jobs brilliantly'.

Give up Fox, he's a lost cause.

Seriously, I haven't really had a problem with you Mike, I've even stuck my ore in once or twice to back you up, but this thread is nothing short of a Joke.

You said stupid things. You do stupid things (Buying a car based more or less solely on the opinions of the people on the internets is stupid), but I for one would be willing to put up with that... If I felt that there was a remote chance of you actually listening. No, you have the cheek to try and belittle us with patronising "You're not reading the thread right" type ******** when we question you.

Sorry Mike, I'm trying really hard to like you mate but you're starting to **** me off.

I know you don't care, but I just thought I'd let you know.

Huh, where have I failed to listen to people?

People keep picking up on the point that I'm buying a car without trying it, yet I will be doing just that tomorrow morning, before even arranging to view said car?

I honestly don't see what the problem is here?

I might make that into a signature :D

So you've agreed to buy the car (subject to the condition being as described) but not arranged to view it yet?

You've said you've agreed to buy it providing everything is as described, but just said you've not arranged to view the car yet.

A 1.6 Focus does its job of being a cheap, reliable family car brilliantly.

An EK9 does its job of being an cheap to own, occasional b-road blaster/track car even better.

Oh, I see where this is going.

I've made an offer, I can quite easily withdraw that offer tomorrow in the unlikely event that I do not like it (Which is highly unlikely based on my experience of the DC2 and their HUGE similarities).

Why have I had to repeat myself for nearly three pages now?

Would 1 Focus ST not be cheaper than the two cars, be reliable,, fit the family, be fun on the b-roads?

Possibly, but I need two cars?

Why didnt you just keep the car you had, that did both those jobs ok.

Think I would have kept the ST tbh.

+ Some cheap snotter if you needed 2 cars.

Also, no offence to Tim but for what his car is/was supposed to be, it was hilariously slow.

It is expensive to run, and half the problem is that when the other half is out, I want something to blast around in... The ST cannot be in two places at once.

Besides, I've opted for something more focussed, as that is what I wanted

Wow, are your literacy skills that terrible or you are purposely trying to twist what I've said?

I've made an offer on a car, but haven't agreed a viewing yet. Is it that hard to comprehend?

It is a long way to travel if he does not accept my offer, and I wasn't prepared to pay his asking price.

Seems like a win, win situation to me?
