After seeing the internet dating thread, it occurred to me that many people gloss over their personality defects in their profiles. How about posting a 1 paragraph summary of yourself, in a brutally honest fashion?

I'll kick off:

Fiercely independent, financially stable, mistrustful, sarcastic sci-fi and fantasy fan who would rather spend his spare time reading, gaming or watching films than interacting with other humans outside of the pub due to spending most of the working week dealing with sterotypical IT geeks. Marginally alcoholic, easily led when it comes to other stuff. On the sexual side, is heading into Patrick Bateman territory. Sarcastic sense of humour is prominent due to hugely cynical outlook on humanity and the world. No organisational skills - double or triple books everything. Despises responsibility outside of work and is allergic to commitment.

Hrm, I wonder if this might work on a dating site?

Seriously though - it makes me laugh when I see friends using dating sites, when I could easily write reams on the worst/darkest parts of their personalities.

It amuses me that guys write "I'm a party guy, great fun, really caring", when what they really mean is: "I'm a ****-head and I want to ram you and all your friends' pasties".

At least I've got the balls to criticise myself and post it in here.. :)
