Game Dev Story

Don't spend anything on advertising, just save the "research data" and level your staff to level 5. Buy 3 "job swap" items from the travelling businessman and use it to re-train a member of staff. Level them up to level 5 in that job title and change again.. repeat until they are level 5 for every job you've retrained them in and you unlock the "hardware engineer" title.

Build your own console and create a "sequel" for your best selling game, using the menu. Promote this game heavily and watch the money roll in.

Ah, thats how !!! I hired a Hollywood agent 3 times and couldn't get a Hardware Engineer !?!

I have like 600mil in the back, and everygame i make, no matter HOW random the combination I can get 35pts+ and get into the Hall of Fame, and sell around 10million copies.......It's too easy now.

I have a Staff member with stats average around 400pts !!! Even hit 200pts on some game stats when it finished, almost every time when someone ask permission to try to boost some stats they succeed.

Towards the end of the game, there's also a monkey that you can hire who is a hardware engineer.

My top game, I am Pop Star2, sold 42,848,742 units and made me $128,546.2K in sales. Obviously, it was a Music / Pop Star game.

Never managed to get 40/40 though. Best I got was 39/40. :(

You manage this in the 20 year lifespan?

You manage this in the 20 year lifespan?

I managed it in the first 10 years....

What happened was that i made a "Breakthrough game" and made about 7mil and was in the second office, and moved to the 3rd office and I sent out a Hollywood Agent and hired a bunch of people with 300+ stats, then every game they put out have an average of 9 rating from the critics. I even purposely make random combinations to see what happens now….Table/Cosplay, Life/swimsuit anyone? Even though it starts off with "This isn't a match" in genre, the points STILL rack up, and next thing I get is "it’s a Genre match".

Not to mention because the staff's stats are so high, I can make about 4 to 5 games year!!! I make about $60/70million in profit a year (or more, I can sell about 8million units PER game), that's after me throwing $10million in Lunar Advertising, $3.5mil in Hollywood agent every year (there is 1 staff slot that's occupied by an average staff member, still better than most), training staff, giving staff chances to increase game stats ($800k a pop average).

I'm into my 37th Year and just about to release my forth console.
My highest selling game to date is my recently released end of the trilogy series "TrainSim 3"! :p They love their train sims :p It sold 48,545,134 units & made $145,635,400 :p

Still haven't been able to make a game that gets 40 points in the reviews - Most I've got is 39 :(

My most recently released console (64 Bit/Bluray/Console) has the majority of the console share (As did it's predecessor :p) and has currently sold 18,620,465 units :D

I love building my empire :p

Yay ! I got my first 40pts game !!!!! (screenshot if you guys want proof but i've given it a rather rude name lol Funny thing is that it's not my highest stats game in terms of research)

I made my own console, and the money REALLY rolls in, even though i chucked $64million at some new 3rd Party Console licence, I have almost $1billion in the bank !

Wow grats :D At least we know it's now possible :p

This afternoon I was looking at a sequel to make and found an old title called "World Of Grub" which is an Online MMO Fantasy game :p It was one of my first successes and I've made about 9 other sequels (Expansion packs ;) :p) of it. So I thought I'd make a modern remake of it and made it again on my latest console attempt and sold 64,357,538 units making $184,072,600 :D

My biggest game to date :D Still only got 39 points in the reviews though :p

Strange thing is that i have not sold more than 30million units in any game?

Another strange thing is that i have no idea how i can sell 25million of a game for a console that i only sold 15million units? lol

Haha some of the reviews I have, have said "So good - I brought it 3 times!" :p

So I think that's it :p My console has sold just over 20 million and World of Grub sold over 64 million :p How the... :D

Produce good games and consistantly I think - Or just keep releasing more consoles...

Every console I've made has done better than it's previous brother :p

I think i've reached what you would considered "the End" now.

I have like $4 Billion in the bank....

All the stats in the green bars allocation page (Cuteness, Realism, Simplicity etc), are maxed. They are all full.

I've had my second 40pts Game

One game sold over 70 million units !!!

I even turned to changing jobs for the staff in order so I can get them more levelled up in more jobs for not much reason at all. As sometimes their stats goes down, but sometimes goes up. All it mostly done is driven my Salary bill from £10million a year to $50million a year!

On my 4th Console now, 3rd one was stuck at 19.5 million unit sold. 4th one is on about 23million.

What else can I aim for?
