The RX8 has its downsides too, its significantly more thirsty, and carries greater risks of bigger bills.
The EK9 isn't slower, but is irrelevant. If I could have an RX8 with EK9 running costs, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I'm being sensible and opting for the cheaper option long term.

Seriously, go drive the one's that appeal to you. Speak to the owners, do a bit more independent research on them, see if you can afford them, then buy one.
