Hi

I have a PB ixtreme 3720. CPU Q8300 @ 2.50ghz, 4gb ram and.. a horrible integrated graphics card.

It would be great to buy a new card in order to play a game called Combat Arms smoothly.

A friend has a 1gb card; ATI Radeon 4800 which seems to work wonders. In order to get something like that, I suppose I need to upgrade my PSU. The current is below 300 W and to be frank, I am really clueless when it comes to PSU stuff.

My questions are of course, with a £100-£130 budget, what should I get? Can I just buy any PSU and card and they will fit?

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

ixtreme has standard psu jsut not a high wattage one, easy to replace if you have to

but if you are to too ambitous it may work out with a lower power card 5770, just check if you have spare pcie power connecots (suspect not) or some 4 pin connectors that could be converted

Thanks for that!

I only play one game and never watch or edit any movies, so not sure how overkill it will be to grab a fantastic card. The PSU looks great!

If anyone else wants to contribute with ideas, that would be fab. Gonna order later today.
