470 or 6870 ?

The 470 I believe will be the slightly faster card. It all comes whether you want the cooler quieter card that uses less electric that does eyefinty, or the slightly faster card that also has physx.

If I was you I would go for the £165 470 GTX and overclock that :)
 
Ya its wot i was going for, just needed the final push :) trigger pulled on the SOC i like the cooler and that its factory overclocked. thanks
