Limewire is dead !

I still got the installer for Morpheus, wasn't that one of the first p2p programs of this type?

I thought near everybody stopped using these types of programs due to the rampant viruses with them.

I believe its less about us getting them, and more about our customer base. General public who see "spice girls - spice up your life.exe" at 2kb file size and think yay!!
 
I see this as good news. The number of customers' computers I've had back-to-base with Limewire installed were always virus-ridden. Sure, Limewire itself isn't malicious, but it was with 100% certainty that a virus would be on the PC. The same goes with Incredimail.
 
I used to use 'Ares' a long time ago and had many a virus. All i am going to say now is 'vive la revolutiontt'


I had this e-mail from limewire a few days ago even though i have never used it (at least i don't think so)

Ares was about the only decent p2p program in the post Napster era. Limewire was a pile of java crap.

Torrents are the "mainstream" thing now, I'd say. Then private torrents, then rapidshare/hotfile/etc, then usenet.

Seriously though, who the hell still uses that anyway apart form the obligatory person at work who is always moaning about their laptop being slow then when you ask them when they last reinstalled the OS they say "what do you mean?:confused:"

Hmm I suppose if we gave them enough cash they might die however how much cash is enough to kill a druggie too little and they could end up stabbing you or stealing your stuff. :)

Haven't had apple corp stealing anything lately ;)
