Is it just me or does it get on your nerves when people call wheels- shoes and they call tyres- Boots?

I for one hate it when this is done.
Wheels are wheels and tyres are tyres..

It bugs me too, although I am a bit of a curmudgeon really. I don't like it when people call engines "lumps" either. It just sounds so cheap and vulgar.

Id say thats different though, the term lump is used more frequently.

Couldn't care less, its just terminology.

Sure sometimes its a bit odd (I don't use the ones mentioned - boots/shoes) but where do you draw the line?

Do you get offended at people referring to cars/bikes and parts like

Lips
Rims
Blower
Tubby
Whip
Dubz
Rice
Crotch Rocket

etc
