James Blunt "Stopped World War 3"

You see, the thing about James Blunt that irritates me more than anything, isn't his horribly bland music. Or his pathetically boring 'personality'. But rather, it's quite simply his face.

These days, your success as an artist in the music industry is largely/directly connected (tragically) to your attractiveness to the opposite sex (or same sex depending on your angle). Yet despite having studied psychology I just can't come to a reasonable conclusion about how ANYBODY on the planet can find that horrible picasso-esque mug attractive.

Oh Dear James blunt the tank commander takes on the Russian Army ok mate not really what happend was it... They set up camp in the Hangers at the end of the runway and we took over the terminal building. The Guy was then and is now a complete tool...

sure, like you were there, or that you know James personally to make that kind of judgement.

technically, as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO at the Time, General Clarks' order would have superceeded Gen. Jacksons' order countermanding the attack order, so...

Not necessarily true, the British General would retain sovereignty over British troops.

Because he's the hero that the Free World deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... James Blunt...

Yes I was there I was part of the Raf that started the running of the Airfield. No i did not know james personally but you here about things and peoples opinions.

What kind of troops did Russia have on the airfield? Anyone know?

The sort with guns & a general attitude problem I'd guess... ;)

JB seems a tool from what he puts out, but hey good luck to him!

He makes a lot of money doing something badly! The envy is awful! :D

But, As already said, when I have seen him on the media, he comes across as a fine individual.

Its a mistake to judge an "artist" on what they do in the day job imo.

The ones i met were quite sound i managed to trade some Raf uniform for some Russian stuff. I have a Feather lined combat jacket which is immensly warm. I also got a Russian Commando watch for a beret and a few badges and bits hats etc....:D

I was too, and while I didn't know him then, I know his family now and he is not a 'tool' at all. I suspect that your attitude is reflected by the fact of your very young age at the time and that he was an officer, rather than any real indictment on his true personality.

But people do have differing opinions I will concede and you are perfectly entitled to yours.

Incidental we never received any orders to engage the Russian Paras only to observe, (that may had something to do with the RAF not securing their loads correctly and thus our support not arriving:p) and as far as I know they did not have the logistics or administrative ability to maintain forces at Pristina and were asking for support and a plan to share the airport.

I was 21. I,m going by the opinions of people that met and spoke to him. People i respected the opinions of thought he was a tit maybe that was because he was a well spoken officer..?

The Airport was shared by us and the Russians they were at one end we were at the other. The Raf operated out of the terminal building..

Don't sweat it, we thought our officers were a bunch of **** as well. :D

I always guessed that James Blunt was a bit of a tool until I saw him on Top Gear. Doesn't take his music too seriously and is fully aware it divides opinions. Seemed like a top bloke all round to be honest.
