Will Prince Harry's father be invited to the wedding do you think?

You've gotta feel sorry for Harry occasionally.

He has to spend his whole life pretending that 'daddy' is the eco-warrior jug eared one, when he knows deep down there isnt a ginger gene within 50 miles of the Royal family. (or there wasnt until him!)

On topic, this is just another reason not to watch TV and do something better instead. I wont be buying any worthless mass produced memorabilia tat, and probably wont watch the wedding either.

I'd watch their home movies if they ever got leaked though, future Queen is tasty indeed! :p :D

Looking forward to the free bank holiday the most!

I want to be pessimistic and crappy about this - but honestly, I think it's brilliant.

Why *shouldn't* we get excited about such an event? All people keep saying is "oh they're interrupting TV schedules" "oh think of the tax payers money that will be wasted".

We've lost our national identity, and generally how to celebrate any occasion that doesn't directly affect us.

Royal weddings of this calibre only happen once in a blue moon - William is second in line to the throne, logic dictates he'll one day be king so we're seeing our future king get married, is how it should be viewed.

Could not agree more with that post.

Also watching all the recent interviews with William he appears to be very down to earth for a Royal, maybe even bordering as one of us 'Normals' in his attitude, seeing as well as he has taken a 'Normal' as his future Queen. This at least should bode well with the public image of the Royal family especially after his coronation, give it a much needed lift in the popularity chart.

Common misconception. Diana didn't meet Hewitt until May 1986, when harry was already nearly 2.

In addition, they were forced to have a paternity test that showed they're both Charles' children. The red hair is a Spencer trait :)

Hey, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, the chances are it is a duck.

I am not precisely an anti-Royalist but I do consider them to be rather anachronistic in this day and age. It should be no surprise then that I feel no more excited/moved/interested in this wedding that I would in anyone else's. Man wants to marry woman. Woohoo.

I'm sure that, given the vast sums of money that the monarchy have at their disposal, this will be entirely self funded. Oh look, a pig in the sky.

Congratulations and everything to them but can they get off the TV and every homepage now? Its not big news, might have been when the royal family actually meant something and had an impact on the country but they are Paris Hiltons with titles at this point.

Indifferent, two people I don't know and really know very little about. Best of luck to them but... *shrug*

indifferent. it'll be good for the tourist industry, but from a personal point of view, meh.
