Me too. But apparaently when I was suspended and pointed out that it should have been 5 points and no suspension, Burnsy said the new rules did not apply to MM.

User Infractions are given by Moderators and Admins for minor rule breaks, such as Inappropriate Language, Members Market Rule Breaks and Low-level insults/personal attacks towards other members. This is instead of a suspension for minor offences and allows the moderators to easily inform a user that they have broken a rule. Each infraction type has a points value with different infractions having differing 'points' that remain active for varying lengths of time before they are no longer counted. Most are set at 1 point, except for the Members Market Infraction which is 5. If you get 10 "points" via infractions your account is automatically suspended for a period of two days.

As much as I admit I did break the MM rules, I am still purturbed as to why the 3 strikes and your out and instant suspension still applies to MM when the FAQ seems to suggest otherwise and that you need 10 points to be suspended although you get more points for infractions in MM than elsewhere on the forums (which seems logical)?

How long can it possibly take to copy paste your bans/infractions + reason log once a day/once a week?

Or is the reason/list written in such a way it would have to be heavily edited/censored to make it fit the posting rules?

It is recorded on a per user basis. We'd have top copy/paste to a separate list every time we do something.

That makes out that I shouldn't have been suspended then, unless I am reading it wrong.

The use of infractions is not the same as a relaxed modding policy in the MM.

The infractions are used primarily to make sure a member is aware of why they were suspended. This way we prevent people saying they didn't see the warning. The points part isn't used so much now.

I didn't see a warning, or an email to say why. Just an email from the thread starter to say sorry for me being suspended.

at the end of the day the forum is free and run at the cost of OC, they or their admins can do as they feel fit.. they could go down the pub at lunch time get drunk and delete half of the accounts for a laugh its their forum / server / cost...

So you've changed the system since that Rar file got leaked, as that had a big page with all the bans/suss + reasons in it?

Although it would certainly need editing before it fitted the forums rules.

Doesn't make sense really. The new rules only came in two months ago and it was only a week later I got caught out.

You say infractions are a way of making the person know why they were suspended but that contradicts the FAQ on infractions which says no suspension until 10 points and infractions are used instead of suspension?

So does the FAQ need updating to make it clear to forum members then? I am all for rules and controls in forums, but it's difficult if the rules/controls been used by the Dons do no match the rules listed in the FAQ IMO.

I appreciate that some things can take some time, but if a mod is taking a look at something and feels some action is needed to be taken then surely a polite note / email could be sent.
As said in the motors 'small announcement' these forums are a community, communities thrive on being given clear rules and understanding and fairness for when rules are broken.

If someone doesn't have the time to complete the action fully then they should leave it for someone else or take an appropriate action based on the time that they have available. Otherwise odd things happen, like closing of threads by mistake ;)
