I think they would have shot it down if it started heading to Russia or China. Sounds like it just crashed. Unless the stealth works so good even the US can't track their own plane?

Update for those who may have forgotten.

Apparantly they have found bits of the ejector seat at the crash site and bits of his flight suit. So it doesnt look good
