Hi all, my first post in motors section and im scared of most of you already ( looking at you FOX! )

I have the White Limited Edition Corsa with the black roof/alloys etc and the only thing i would like to change is the chrome V grille on the front.

I originally planed to get it colour coded wither in gloss black or glacier white however having had a few quotes i then decided it would be cheaper to change the grille instead.

Irmsher sells the grille for my car on their ebay store for £170 , there are quite a few imitations which i actually prefer as they are debadged ranging from £50 upwards. I can get fitting done for £40 but i am unsure what to go for.

Will the cheaper ones be inferior in any way such as flimsy or misaligned etc or are they just blatent rip offs of irmshers ridiculously priced part?

cheers in advance,

oh and feel free to say i should have bought this and that etc........

I think irmsher are the best of the lot for Vauxhall.

But i nearly bought a dodgy looking grill for me Jag once till i asked on here, so dont listen to me :)

Browse through, mostly crap, on some of the corsa owners forums. They will normally have a gallery section, so you should be able to have a look what everyone else has done.

Not sure how you'd do it exactly without looking, and I can't be bothed at the minute :p

I think you'll be surprised how simple it is to spay the plastics yourself. Dependant on how much you'll need just buy some prime, paint and laquer from halford and have a go. Just make sure you give plenty of time for drying though!

I really hated the grey colour of the plastic grille and fog surrounds in my fiesta... Took them off and sprayed them gloss black. Looks so much better than before and wasn't much work.

I dunno what fords obsession with crap grey plastics are, mine on the focus are now satin black, and I know of loads of people who have done the same.

"Ignore the usual Vauxhall hating muppets m8"

yeah i gathered that would happen anyway, i would say that the grille would have a much bigger impact on my car ( hence the reason for doing so ) as the corsa Ds grille is HUGH!

having now posted on the corsa d uk forums tho, i think the quotes i got for painting it were absurd, and im almost sold on getting it done in the same glacier white as the car.

@ coxsys, cheers for the advice mate but i wouldnt even dare attempt it on a new car, especially with my painting skills...... been told i can get it done decently for around £50 which i would be more that happy to pay for the job.

My eyesight is fine, the grill just looks too empty like that, as if it were meant to have a badge in the middle that some ***** has thieved.

It's not just that grille in particular, i've never been a fan of those empty style grilles on any car really.

I think the grill on the Corsa is too big not to have the V. Put a pic of the front of it up and let someone photoshop oit
