Use your nose!

When meat is genuinely "off", you can tell a mile away. A lot of food poisoning comes from meat that has been warm for a period of time, and then only partially cooked (i.e. the meat is fine, but things have grown on it).

In short, if in doubt:

1) Sniff it
2) If you're still worried, cook it through properly (i.e. not pink).

Job done!
 
i've reheated house special curry with rice loads of times. it's usually left on the lounge table and i bang it in the microwave for breakfast on the sunday morning after a saturday night skinfulll!

Rice can breed some pretty nasty spores as it cools which aren't killed by reheating. If you are planning to reheat it, freeze it rather than letting it cool slowly.

Can't be that risky... Every supermarket in the country sells cooked rice which you heat up in the microwave. (And it isn't frozen).

Also I work at a college in the kitchen, and only 2 hours ago I was putting the leftover rice into tuppareware containers to be re-heated tomorrow.
