£56m lotto winner must pay the ex who dumped him ten years ago

yeah i read that and was appalled, but heyho, seems indicative given the current claiming and sueing culture that seems to have conquered our shores
 
Wasn't a 'clean break'. Lesson learnt, at least he still has plenty over. Though she did want £8m at first, cheeky mare!
 
She comes across as a right money grabbing *****..

Seems he's put money aside for their daughter, went to his ex and offered £1m to her as a gift and she sued him for £8m (obviously looking for an out of court settlement imo) and ended up with £2m. All after she left him.. nice.

Greedy, opportunistic *****
 
To be fair, if he was that bothered by it all, he had enough money to get the legal backing to make sure she got sweet f.a. He obviously opted for the easy, hassle free, option. Besides, £2m out of £56m isn't going to have a major effect on his living conditions, but the woman is going to have to live with the shame of being made to look like a complete arse in a national paper.

Principle. I'm probably one of those people that whould spend £50m in the courts to make sure she got nothing.
