Sub-£200 5870 Before Xmas?

The wife, bless her, really wants to get me a 6870 for Xmas so I told her to budget (lol, budget) for around 200 notes.

I'm wondering though, with the onset of 69xx, would it be best to wait and get the better 5870 over the 6870 for hopefully the same price the 6870 is today?

Or should I be getting the "newer" 6870 anyway?

I bought my bf a 470 for christmas to upgrade his 4870 i'd go 6870 if you plan on adding a second 6870 or 5870 if you stay single gpu and you can allready get 5870 for £220ish.
