Which means Google maps works properly!!

Well, apart from that there's other stuff too. The extensions, of course, and tab stacking - which is great for if you sometimes have 20+ tabs open like me.

This is very impressive and a great use of tabs. I'm fed up with having to close the browser entirely because of all the tabs in use causing confusion.

Quite impressed with this Tab Stacking, very useful for me here at work so I can group personal tabs together and work tabs at the same time.

I have to say that I like this beta. I often suffer Opera crashing on me when I try to open multiple graphics heavy pages or something like that in a short space of time (like seconds). Hasn't happened YET with Opera 11 Beta. And the tab stacking is cool. :)
It seems the natural way for tabs to go, I'm not sure why browsers haven't already done this.
They be waiting for Opera to pioneer it first and then catch up claiming they invented it first anyway. :D

I have been fiddling with this for the last couple of hours and I have to admit I quite like it. The tab stacking is nicer than FF4's Tab Panorama I think and I love the side bar where you can select the bookmarks and things. It is also really quick: I can feel the difference between this and FF3.6 when browsing side by side.

There are only a couple of issues with it stopping me using it all the time but I think they will be resolved with extensions. Yup you guessed it, Adblocking. Dear god I never want to see youtube or facebook with adverts ever again. Such a horrible experience. Also is there a way to get OCUK dark working in Opera?

If the above gets fixed then there is only one contention point stopping me moving over full time and that is the functionality of the top bar and address bar. It might just be me but I like middle clicking the back icon to load the previous tab in a new window so I can compare things side by side which I can't do. Also the address bar doesn't really handle as well as the Awesomebar. I suppose that is something I will have to get used to if I move across.

EDIT: mouse gestures are quite nice as well.

Dark is for Firefox users only I think.

Why?

It's just a style-sheet replacement is it not?

Right click any forum page > Edit Site Preferences > Display > My style Sheet - Select the OCuK Dark one.

Edit, above works fine - other than the banner image being blue still ;p

If you want to get rid of the banner altogether add the following into the stylesheet:

img[src$="gfx/forumlogo_final4.jpg"]{display: none;}

The only thing that annoys me so far is that when tab-stacking, the currently active tab in the stack isn't the one displayed in the top-bar. So for example I have OcUK, Gmail and Facebook in a stack, I'm currently browsing Facebook, but since OcUK was the last tab added to the stack, it remains as the Stack's tab in the top-bar :(

Shame.

Anyone know how to disable the Opera 'O' logo in the task bar at the bottom of the screen? I can hide it by clicking the arrow for the hidden icons but it'd be nice to turn it off straight away. :)

Disable opera:config#Show Tray Icon, save.

(click on the above)

if you do the above then it goes :)

so to clarify, if it doesn't make sense.

Type in your address bar opera:config

then in the editor search thingy type in Show Tray Icon

then untick it and save and restart browser.

Nice one Vimes. Your first line made sense. :) I should have known to have a look in there first.

Since you're on a roll, any idea how to persuade Opera to put the cursor in the address bar when I load up? I have to press Tab or open a new tab to get the cursor in the address bar, which is quite annoying. :p I'm wondering if its a bug, since its a beta, or a 'feature'. ;)

[ALT]+[D] is your friend ;)

what does that do? i just get a "Bing" when i do that.

Marclister, CTRL+L places the cursor on the address bar.

you can change the key-configuration so that space or any key you want does that :)
