hey guys
as its Christmas soon I am going to be getting a new computer
first off my parents are split so hopefully a better one. my dad is unsure about money at the moment but i should be able to get at least this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-270-OK&tool=3

if i am allowed more around the 600ish mark can someone make me up a few builds.
must be capable for light gaming and also doesn't need monitor kb mouse or os as i have all that.

much appreciated
Rowan

If you go with that system then adding a gtx460 would be a good move. Although 600 might be moving into the i5 range of pc's.
Are you looking to build yourself or for prebuilt?

Edit: just looked and you would be sacrificing graphics for a better quad core processor if you went i5. I would possibly stick with i3. What games you looking at playing?

thanks. i will look into that computer i made up a spec i am thinking of getting which includes an i3 @ 4ghz. i will post that once its uploaded.
also i will have a better idea on saturday once my parents have spoken.

Nice build that Liam. I would change the OCZ Gold Ram to Corsair XMS3. Too many problems for me to touch it with a barge pole. Otherwise great build.

so i got the image uploaded and this is what i thought.

It's an OK setup, but the 430 is major meh imho. The i5 760 build with a 460 will spank it hard. You can overclock the i5 760 to 4GHz yourself easily.

I'm not poo pooing (I can't say that without smiling LOL). Go with OCZ gold but not my choice. I like to play it safe with components and won't spec what I wouldn't like to use :) based on reviews and other opinions.

Time to start spontaneous hoovering/chores and buying your mum flowers :)*

HAHA. Can I get you drink? Chocolate? Flowers? Mum... you know christmas is coming... and you love me.......... (Pulls innocent angelic face)

Should work a charm ;)

There is also the fact that a fast PC is pretty damn essential for your education ;) Assuming you're still in school/college.
