Black Friday at the Apple store

Anyone else get the email form Apple announcing that the UK Apple store (retail and online) will also be getting the US "Black Friday" deals this year?

Black Friday is this Friday 26/11

Had a google about and apparently discounts aren't as good as discounts by retailers.... So i am guessing not as good as the Higher/Further/University education prices, anyone else remember from last time this happened?

Most of the stuff but I think the discounts were on things like cases and accessories. Very minor discount on iPod/iPhones/Macs.

I got it and thought it was a mistake, but then noticed that it was from Apple UK.

From what I remember it's usually just naff accessories, hardly anything off the big money stuff.

Would be good though if it was also on the iPod/iPhones/Macs too . Bet they wouldn't let you combine it with HE discount though .

I've worked there on Black Friday before and there's been discounts, it's not new (not mega new anyway). It's worth waiting days/weeks for, but they're not big discounts really.

Just divide the price by 2 to get GBP. Not massive savings. Biggest saving is about 65 gbp off the macbook pro.

According to the current exchange rate, the 27 inch imac has a massive £13 saving lol

I'm calculating it at about £83...

There's a few discounts in the refurb store ranging from 10%-20%. No 27" iMacs though . Do you think the UK store will have different prices?

Edit: There are no Black Friday discounts in the refurb store. The discounts I mentioned were already there before Black Friday.

But why should they be? This is a sale open to the masses, not just the chosen few who can get the HE discount one way or another

If I could get an HE discount somehow I would, however I know no one who can help me out so thus it's tough luck for me.
