Came home today and the highest temp core on my cpu was 32C! Freezing cold though!

Anyone taking advantage of this cold weather to get more megahertz?

Cpu idling here at 33-27-33-27, i7 @4ghz on air, gpu's at 30 and 29c, overclocked to 751mhz, havent thought about raising the cpu higher though.

I remember last winter I left my window open in my uni room while I was out at a lecture. Came back and the pc was idling at 17-19c, that was an air cooled q6600 at 3.2ghz. Room was absolutely freezing though but I was still impressed with the temps lol.

Not taking advantage of it now, temps are a couple of degrees lower but it seems to have lesser an effect on my rig now its on water. Maybe I just need some better rad fans

As i prefer an all weather overclock i prefer summer for testing or central heating at full belt (although this dosen't really emulate summer humidity etc..), winter temps can be deceptive hehe.

ill be opening my window later, see if i can play blackops any better!
But i use my PC the other way arround, turn the heating lower and use the heat from my PC to warm the house!!!!

Ambient temperatures don't seem to affect my CPU at all - my temps now are about the same as they were during the 2009 heatwave when I first got it.

Atic room here. summer is roasting, winter its like an ice cave. will hopefully be OCing over the weekend so ill be putting my rad on full before i do it

I have just been home to put the heating on, i was then thinking, perhaps i should put all the PC's on, i have a PC in each room of the house, appart from the Bathroom, i think the GAS bill would be cheaper than the Electric bill.

winter just means I can have a silent system and have it on crunching more as the noise doesnt bother the misses. Come summer it'll be off a night again

Yeah my 580 idles at 35c and my CPU idles between 30c-34c..could push for 4.2ghz but don't really see the point.
