Audio help needed for a HD 5750

Hi all,

In my htpc I have ran an old hd 3650 with hdmi out no problems. It gave good visuals on dvd and blu ray and also passed audio.

I got the chance to pick up a reasonable 5750 and after getting it installed its not passing any audio at all and its not showing up in my sound folder in win 7. I have downloaded and installed the latest CCC and drivers from ati's site and still nothing. Im lost as to why this newer card wont carry sound!

Or it could be im going dractically wrong somewhere. Can anybody help me please?

When you right click on the sound/speaker icon in the bottom right corner tray and select playback devices do you get these options with one being ati high definition audio device?
Should look like this.

No its not there, I just get text aying no audio devices are installed

I've had drivers from the AMD site where the audio drivers were missing. You can also use the drivers from the realtek site IIRC.

Sweet got it. The blumming audio driver was missing. Simple fix. Woo hoo back to normal. Cheers fellas

haha. Aye. Its working spot on mate cheers, I downloaded the drivers but the audio one was missing for some strange reason. Will get that cash bank transfered to you mate asap just got to pick the wife up now, She hates driving in the snow. If I get time I will get into the bank in town in about half an hour and do it over the counter.
