Very clean, good condition, no alloys, just steelies with hub caps, HPI clear.
Nothing wrong with it.

Any ideas on what'd be worth? roughly?

Cheers,
Jake

Local dealer here has a green 51-reg 1.8 focus for £995. But it's 5-door with 118K miles.

EDIT: And it's been reduced from £1300 originally so must be hard to shift/got problems.

depends what needs doing on it phate.

It will be due a cambelt change at the absolute latest on the 10 year/100k mark, but everyone recommends this is done at 8 years/80k at the latest. Worth getting the tensioners (this isn't always done!) and waterpump done at the same time whilst its all out.

Check the rear arches for rust, as well as the sump (2 piece construction on the 1.8 engine, bottom part gets chipped and if not sorted rusts through and you loose all your engine oil, whoops)

Big things that will decide its value is:

Trim level (no alloys? sounds like a CL but I thought they were 1.4 only, if the clocks are grey background its a zetec, if not it could be LX. Not sure if there were 3 door Ghias)

Whether it has the climate pack (Air con and heated front screen, a real shame not to get one on a focus)

Condition of rear arches

Cambelt

I spent a few weeks looking at various examples and there are lots of lemons out there.

Fantastic reply :)

I'm not looking to buy, its one I'm looking to sell :)

It's got aircon and heated front screen, not sure on what trim level it is, I'll find out. Think the cambelt has been done, last service was £400 from Fords, reckon thats cambelt money on these?

Cheers,
Jake

This might sound daft, but stick the reg into webuyanycar.com, the first page that comes up should tell you the trim level.

Sounds like a Ghia but it's not like a Ghia to not have alloys? Unless at some point it's had aftermarket alloys, sold and then steelies put on instead?
