Upgrade from an iPhone4

Why are you asking us then when you've clearly already made up your mind?

I think he's trying to show off his cool 'him-only' O2 upgrade situation that doesn't exist.

(Assuming that, as he ignored my previous post, he gets a free upgrade every 12 months on a £35 pm business tariff?)

He's not actually on that tariff at the moment apparently, he's on a £20 tariff and is going to change to the £35 business tariff

Well, he must be one of the best paying customers on a £20 tariff and worth his weight in gold to O2....... oh wait :p

How dare he have an opinion!

He's posted a lot in this forum previously, nearly every single post has been a one liner troll post. Of course he can have an opinion, but it helps to back it up.

Yes it is...

That depends really, I changed my Desire for an iPhone 4 as you know and depending on the person it is a better overall package, the camera is slightly better, the screen is equal depending on what you use it for and the internals are similar.

Considering what it costs extra, it isn't clearly better. Still, lets encourage posts like that, it'll really make the forum a better place.

Ah, like your excellent post "No, it isn't". :)

The screen is equal? Say what!

It doesn't cost that much extra and to be fair it's easy to see why it should if you sit it next to a desire in regards to quality. Resale value will be a lot better on the iPhone 4 as well, so you could probably write that little bit of extra cost off depending on how you do your sums.

With reference to the upgrade after 12 months, if this is a new contract on a £35pm tariff O2 Business will not let you upgrade to anything more than a mid-range phone for free, they will be able to offer you a higher specification phone a reasonable cost, e.g. a Galaxy S would cost you around £150 +VAT on top of extending your contract for a further 12 months on top of the 12 months you have left.

I suspect you are best keeping your iPhone 4 and going Sim only since this will work about the same cost overall but you will not be tied in to O2 until hell freezes over.

My last phone upgrade was done in April, posted about in on here I think it's possibly the best offer I was ever given and it was with T-Mobile business, don't see myself going back to O2 any time soon.

Whatever you decide or have already committed to try and realise people are giving advice doesn't mean you have to pay attention or try and whip up some sort of argument for no reason.

I should mention that the original Desire screen (LED) could be considered better for watching media on. Though I take nothing away from the iP4 screen, its great and I do like it.

You could work out that cost if you factor in resale value and various other things, yes.

My problem was the fact the guy said 'much better' and the fact he's already been banned for spamming more than once.

Nice to see the Apple defence team out in force though :p

Nice to see the android defence team out in force too :)

You have amazing double standards Robboftw!

I'm not an 'Android defence force', I have an iPhone 4 and I do like it. I just can recognise the differences between platforms and devices unlike many people who have blurred vision by defending the handset they've signed up to 2 year deals on.

Sorry to have upset you ;)

Don't give yourself that much credit, I'm not upset.

I find your posts amusing if anything!

You clearly are. You only pop up if someone mentions the iPhone and that it might just not be the holy grail you think it is.

It is arguably the best phone out at the moment quite easily, I have never said otherwise. There, happy now?

I browse the forums and post when I see fit, generally on my areas of interest. Well done on noticing this complex trend.

So, it's quite easily the best phone out at the moment, but it's not "much better" than the old desire? Makes perfect sense.
