Steam - Black Friday Sale

Is Warband good single player? Don't really play multiplayer

I'm not even an RPG type, but I think its fantastic. Seriously, a fiver is a bargain!

Theres a shedload of mods if your into that too, although I'm currently playing vanilla single player aswell as abit of muilti.

Aren't you people putting your Steam accounts at risk by selling games?

Not unless said people make a profit of it? Those who sell games from Gift packs at the right prices only increase Steam's profits. There are plenty of people who wouldn't buy (just as an example) Splinter Cell: Conviction for a tenner but will happily pay a mate from OcUK £7.50 for their share.

As an addict of Anno 1404 I'm wondering whether Patrician IV is worth a punt. It's dropped hugely in price very quickly though which is always a worry.

I think I will finally jump on the World of Goo bandwagon, everybody else seems to sing its praises.

Tempted by Mount & Blade also at that price.

Meh! got mount & blade warband, but it would appear there are issues with the cd-keys.

Were issued a 5x5 key 5 characters and 5 boxes. But warband when launched wants a 4x4 key 4 characters and 4 boxes :(

Anno 1404 is great, Patrician IV, not so much (judging by the reviews).

World of Goo is indeed an awesome game, purchased it just now for the sake of future generations.

M&B: Warband is a must have if you don't already own it.

The game should be activated via Steam? That's how retail key worked for me, put it on Steam and there you go. Should be activated already unless they ran out of keys?

Tempted by Patrician IV as well but not sure. IGN only gave it 6.5/10. Let me know if you pick it up:p

Tell that to Jeremy Clarkson :p

another one, since Gimpymoo's sold out. Paypal only, I'm afraid. Games bought when I get home this evening.

Edit: Ok, for some reason my thread got locked. Not sure why?

Someone put a direct debit on it, but that is only because everyone knows his name, they know his dob, his address, not to mention he actually set it as a challenge in a national newspaper. The person you give your bt details to will not know any other this.

Just gave Tidalis a quick hour on the puzzle pack, found it a bit dull, pretty sure puzzle dimension will sort me out but i will leave that for a rainy day treat

I think Steam know exactly what is going on with the gift packs. No one in their right mind is going to buy 6 copies of splinter cell and then give them away. As long as people are doing this in a non-profit manner steam wont mind. Sure they have mechanisms in place etc

It's not working properly with warband. There's a thread in the steam forum about it too - a bunch of us have been hit by this.

World of Goo is a must have at £1.75 amazing game. Very highly recommended. I have caved in and got M&B warband too. Just need them to sort out the CD key issue. I guess they've ran out of valid cd-keys because they've sold so many.
