Apprently I'm a "muslim loving ****"

So last night after a few shandies I was browsing that epic fail of humanity known as Facebook and foolish replied to a chain status update about a girl being arrested for burning the Koran. I basically said there must be more to this and inciting racial hatred is a crime.

This apparently meant I was insulting the British army :confused:

. I find it more than a little worrying that a trained to kill and armed member of the army believes that all 'muslams' should leave the country and can't draw the distinction between the extremists and normal people.

I'm hoping a squadie on here can restore my faith in the army and prove they are not all like this small minded idiot.

BTW, yes I shouldn't have replied but I was a bit merry and bored. And I can't reply again because she removed me, I think in the hope people would think I wouldn't challenge her right and just army brothers.

It says a lot more about the poster than it does about you. There are plenty of morons in the army who hold opinions that they're not capable of reasoning out - and like anywhere there are those who can and do think about their views before voicing them.

Not all soldiers think like that. I certainly didn't and I don't now either.

Yeah, sure. That's why all Muslims are out there fighting and killing non-believers, right?

Also, the bible tells all Christians to go on crusades to the middle east to try to retake the holy land and that homosexuality is evil. And the Torah tells all Jews to try to blow up the Dome of the Rock. Right?

Surely it can't have anything to do with politics, culture and interpretation.

Like I said earlier, I'm not having a pop at Islam. I agree that there is just as nasty stuff in the Bible and other religious texts. IMHO it is religion in general that is the problem.

This says nothing about "fighting and killing non-believers"; it's merely about fighting oppression.
